Dear Directors,

The UIL Middle School Solo & Ensemble Contest will be held at Keefer Crossing Middle School Saturday February 5, 2011. The school is located at US Hwy 59 and 1485N. Please see attached maps. If you have minor conflicts, try to arrange a solution with another school. Please make every effort to work with this schedule.

All busses should park on the West Side of the school near the cafeteria. Large percussion equipment may be brought in from behind the school through the band hall entrance. Overflow parking will be across the street at New Caney Elementary.

Our band Boosters are planning to have a variety of snacks and food throughout the day for everyone. Please have your students bring lots of money!

Please remember the following:

1. Students will warm up in the cafeteria. Please ask your students not to play their

instruments outside of this area.

2. Please bring your own percussion equipment. There will be timpani and xylophone

available if you need to borrow them.

3. Remind your students they will need to pick up their music from the monitor after

their performance.

4. Please try to have adult supervision for your students while they are in the cafeteria.

5. Remind your students that food and drink are allowed only in the cafeteria area.

6. A copier will be available for directors only in the band office at a cost of $.25 per

page.

7. Students are not to enter the contest office / library.
